SPIDER (the Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions)

SPIDER (the Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions ) is an independent centre of enablement based at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences at Stockholm University. Since 2004, SPIDER focuses on inclusive digitalisation in order to reach the SDGs, evolving into an independent public centre with innovative programs spanning Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Through global networks, SPIDER offers customised professional development and capacity-building initiatives. This collaborative approach propels digital international development forward in innovative and impactful ways.

The Luxembourg Regulatory Institute (ILR)

The Luxembourg Regulatory Institute (ILR) serves as a pivotal entity ensuring and overseeing regulatory affairs and additionally functions as a mediator in disputes across various economic sectors. These sectors include electronic communications, electricity, natural gas, postal services, transport, and radio frequencies. The ILR is dedicated to ensuring and overseeing the smooth operation of markets in the consumer’s interests, grounded in effective and sustainable competition, and concurrently ensuring a fundamental universal service.

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS)

The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority (PTS) is crucial in overseeing Sweden’s electronic communications and postal sectors, serving as one of 22 strategic authorities tasked with realizing the Government’s ICT objectives. Operating under the Ministry of Infrastructure in Sweden and governed by a board of directors appointed by the government, PTS is a key player in Sweden’s regulatory landscape.
Before iPRIS, PTS was involved in the 2013-2022 capacity-building programme, spanning over 20 countries in sub-Saharan Africa. In collaboration with SPIDER, PTS supported more than 100 change initiatives, engaging more than 200 participants dedicated to enhancing regulatory practices in the ICT sector
